What started out as an attempt to create additional lodging opportunities for the thousands of waterfowl hunters that visit the small town of Mound City, MO turned out to be a much larger adventure. Loess Hills Lodge & Rentals is owned and operated by three couples. We acquired the property in December of 2022 and began the demo and clean up phase of a property. Like many business adventures, the more we cleaned up and removed, the more work we realized would be needed to meet our end goal. 

Loess Hills Lodge & Rentals is now what we would consider a premier and upscale hotel style Airbnb. The lodge is a DIY lodging option for small or large groups but the large open space in the main common area can be booked separately for small events such as wedding receptions, birthday parties, family reunions and much more.

We are very proud of the finished product and are grateful to offer the town of Mound City, MO a new version of a historic piece of real estate.
