Here at the Lodge - everyone is welcome! We welcome hunters to the area and make a great basecamp for anyone enjoying the great outdoors near Mound City, MO. We make a great event space for birthday parties, holiday gatherings, family reunions, wedding parties, small weddings, banquets, meetings and more. When the entire lodge is not booked for an event, all 8 rooms are available for hotel-style bookings at competitive rates with a superior experience to your alternatives. “So excited we found this gem! Perfectly located for visiting the Wildlife Refuge and Big Lake State Park. The Lodge is modern, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The bed was very comfy and shower pressure was excellent. We had a blast shooting pool, playing cards and hanging out in the recliners. The bar and TVs provided a fun, social atmosphere. The kitchen was well furnished and functional. Chris was great at communicating details and very prompt in responding to questions. We’d love to bring the whole family and visit again in warmer weather when we can hike. Thanks for a great getaway!”

The lodge has a great hangout vibe—there’s a pool table, cornhole, and plenty of space to relax. The kitchen and bar area were huge perks too. Being able to cook meals, grab a drink, and unwind with the crew made the trip even better.
My room was clean, quiet, and had a really comfortable bed, which I definitely appreciated after hiking all day, the whole place just felt welcoming.
Plus, you can’t beat the location for hunting. Quick access to the hills, awesome scenery, and just an all-around great atmosphere. If you’re planning a hunting trip in the area, I’d absolutely recommend staying here. I’ll definitely be back.”

There is a kitchen area with stove, refrigerator and microwave, plenty of plug-in for crockpots, etc. Extra tables and chairs were provided. The men enjoyed the reclining chairs and the big screen TV for football watching. The younger ones were interested in the hanging stuffed wildlife and the pool table. There is a Dollar General next door that came in handy for a few things we forgot or just needed. There is ample parking. I would rate 10 out of 10!”
